This antique locket was assayed* (tested for gold purity*) at Birmingham Assay Office in 1907. The shield shape of this antique conveys the desire to protect. The anterior surface is decorated with a scroll shaped cartouche, ivy leaves and a forget me not flower. The posterior side is also adorned with ivy leaves.
